Summary

America’s deadliest covert operative might have met his match as he goes deep undercover to prevent Russia from fomenting chaos in the Middle East in this action-packed novel in the #1 New York Times bestselling series starring Mitch Rapp—“the best hero the thriller genre has to offer” ( The Real Book Spy )。

Mitch Rapp is used to winning。

But the CIA operative finds himself chasing false leads from continent to continent in an effort to keep Pakistani nukes from falling into the hands of terrorists。 Together with friend and colleague Scott Coleman, Rapp struggles to prevent the loss of these lethal weapons, particularly because Russia is also interested in the nukes, though not for the same reason as Rapp and Coleman。

Soon, it becomes alarmingly clear that the forces in Moscow are bent on fomenting even more chaos and turmoil in the Middle East, and Rapp must go deep into Russian territory, posing as an American ISIS recruit。 There, he uncovers a plan much more dangerous and insidious than he ever expected, one that could have far-reaching and catastrophic consequences。

Another “best of the best in the high-adventure, action-heavy thriller field” (Booklist, starred review), Order to Kill is a provocative and timely roller-coaster ride of a novel。

Just discovered this author and this series。。 I thought The Gray Man by Mark Greaney was the #1 amazing series I have ever read。。 This Vince Flynn series has now changed everything

Wow this was one of the better stories I actually was a little concerned with Kyle taking over but this one was great。 As always George is excellent and I’m a little bummed about Scott Brick taking over those duties on the next book but I like him as well but not for the Mitch Rapp series。

Kyle Mills did a much better job with this second attempt and taking over for Vince Flynn in the Mitch Rapp series。 The book deserves a 4。5 rating within this genre

Another fun Rapp story。 I really enjoyed it。 Some mew elements to the story formula that Flynn used and some growth of character。 The ending was solid but not as big as I would have hoped but it makes sense with the development of Rapp’s character。

This is not Mitch Rapp。 Sorry Kyle。 I just miss Vince。 An entertaining read to be sure but this felt like a dreamworld。 No semblance of realistic。 None。 Mitch used to be a bad a$% who was unstoppable but believable。 Order to Kill is just not believable。 Too many preposterous things happening。 I don't want to name them as it would spoil the novel for future readers。 But Love George Guidall as narrator if you go for the audible。 This is not Mitch Rapp。 Sorry Kyle。 I just miss Vince。 An entertaining read to be sure but this felt like a dreamworld。 No semblance of realistic。 None。 Mitch used to be a bad a$% who was unstoppable but believable。 Order to Kill is just not believable。 Too many preposterous things happening。 I don't want to name them as it would spoil the novel for future readers。 But Love George Guidall as narrator if you go for the audible。 。。。more

This was interesting because in previous books he seemed to be aging more and doing less operations。 While he was still older in this book and flows with the story line he seemed to be more involved in the operations。 I personally liked that but thought it didn’t quite fit from previous books。 A good story none the less but shocking at how much he got away with。

Kyle Mills did a pretty good job on Order to Kill。 The pace, the vibe and the story were seamless to what Vince Flynn left behind。 I missed the old Kennedy but this new version is badass too。 As Mitch Rapp, he’s the star as always。 4。5 stars

I loved this book。 Written in typical Vince Flynn style, the first of the series by Kyle Mills post Flynn’s untimely death from cancer, and this still centers around Mitch Rapp。 I’m obsessed, once again, with this character, and love that he is still alive amongst the pages of this book。 Vince Flynn will always be one of my all time favorite authors。 Mills has done a great job taking over。 Easy to read quickly and always entertaining!

There is not a bad book in the Mitch Rapp series。 That includes the post Vince Flynn books。 I just completed Order to Kill (#15), and it is no exception。 My only minor criticism is something I found a bit silly within the book。 At least twice, Mitch Rapp needed to quickly hide his identity, and was able to conveniently find clothing (in his size) to accomplish this。 I'm probably being a bit picky, but I found that hurt the credibility of the story line。 There is not a bad book in the Mitch Rapp series。 That includes the post Vince Flynn books。 I just completed Order to Kill (#15), and it is no exception。 My only minor criticism is something I found a bit silly within the book。 At least twice, Mitch Rapp needed to quickly hide his identity, and was able to conveniently find clothing (in his size) to accomplish this。 I'm probably being a bit picky, but I found that hurt the credibility of the story line。 。。。more

Audiobook。 4 Stars

Under the authorship of Vince Flynn, Mitch Rapp has endured numerous lifetime tragedies, and managed to come out on the otherside。。。finally。 It seems he may have gathered a few new characters to his personal life。 And that house is finally completed。We will see how his talent is carried on with a new author picking up the characters and continuing the series。

3-5 to 4。。。 closer to 4 rating than 3。5。Kyle Mills does a nice job of picking this series up。 I enjoy the Vince Flynn series because they are smart, well thought out thrillers。 The storyline includes consistently strong protagonist, strong antagonist, well written plots, well-researched historical context on the latest global crisis。 They are solid in story development and makes for a fun read。

Joe Flynn

This is where Rapp battles Russian super assassin Azeroth to foil an attack on the Saudi oilfields by nuclear weapons。

Larry

Kyle Mills definitely picked up where Vince Flynn left off。 This is a great political/military thriller featuring Mitch Rapp。

4 starsCIA operative Mitch Rapp is back and he’s not happy。 For a man that has single handedly saved both America and the world more times than he’s allowed to mention; could the ongoing dead end of leads regarding a cache of nuclear weapons in the hands of the Russians be the case that breaks him?As Rapp and his colleague, former Navy SEAL Scott Coleman; dig deeper they soon realise that it’s not America that Russia has her eyes set on for the nuclear weapons; but another country that will send 4 starsCIA operative Mitch Rapp is back and he’s not happy。 For a man that has single handedly saved both America and the world more times than he’s allowed to mention; could the ongoing dead end of leads regarding a cache of nuclear weapons in the hands of the Russians be the case that breaks him?As Rapp and his colleague, former Navy SEAL Scott Coleman; dig deeper they soon realise that it’s not America that Russia has her eyes set on for the nuclear weapons; but another country that will send the world into far greater chaos。 The only question now is, can Rapp pass as an American ISIS recruit to save the world from disaster; or is it too little too late for him and Coleman now that he has an adversary that just may be better than him? It’s been a while since I read a Mitch Rapp book, but I’m so glad to be back on board the Rapp Express。 The seat may be comfy and the train decked out with all the mod cons, but you still know it’s going to be one helluva an action packed adventure ride and that you’ll certainly get your monies worth。Order to Kill is the fifteenth book in this series and it is no exception in the action department, containing everything I want in an spy/espionage/political thriller。 It builds at a good pace creating layers of suspense, it has red herrings to throw you off the scent, there are some well timed plot twists but above all; the plot has plenty of thrills and spills to keep the action moving。 Whilst not of the caliber of Vince Flynn, Kyle Mills certainly does an very good job and even though the plot is a world away from your everyday life; it comes across as believable and intriguing。I really like the characters in the Mitch Rapp novels and was glad to see the return of Irene Kennedy, Scott Coleman and his band of ex-SEALs。 I also especially liked that we saw a lot more of Claudia and I look forward to seeing how she fits in and pans out in future books。 Order To Kill is another highly recommended read in the Mitch Rapp series。 It’s an absolute must for lovers of spy/espionage novels and for those who enjoy political thrillers。 Although it can easily be read as a stand alone novel, I highly recommend that you read the whole series in order。 You won’t be disappointed! To play along with my book bingo and to see what else I’m reading, go to #ktbookbingo and @kt_elder on Instagram。 。。。more

Another usual Flynn style novel Overall fast paced, efficient read for a spy thriller。 Recommend for a break of pace in your usual line up of books。

Maybe I am not that close of a reader but there is minimal difference between Flynn and Mills with the approach - maybe Rapp is getting older and perhaps a little emotionally softer。 Drama height teh same

The best against the best。

I enjoyed how Kyle Mills is able to continue the Mitch Rapp series and hope he continues to write them。

I'm afraid Kyle Mills just isn't living up to Vince Flynn。 Rapp used to be human; now he's become super-human, impossible to kill (or even injure, really), and having no emotions。 One-man terrorist foiler。 I'm afraid Kyle Mills just isn't living up to Vince Flynn。 Rapp used to be human; now he's become super-human, impossible to kill (or even injure, really), and having no emotions。 One-man terrorist foiler。 。。。more

Excellent; Continuing character: Mitch Rapp; nuclear material is disappearing from Pakistan and Rapp is called upon to track it down and go after a Russian killer who has already taken down one of his best men

Solid Effort Kyle Mills continues to honor the memory of Vince Flynn in his sophomore effort in the Mitch Rapp series。 The character development is commendable, the story is intriguing and it’s a hard book to put down。 Some sections could be compressed a bit。 Overall, I really enjoyed it and I will be continuing with the next installment of the series soon。

I was instantly addicted to Vince Flynn's character and his writing style from his first novel。 This is the second book with Kyle Mills taking over the character of Mitch Rapp。 Mills' writing style is different from Flynn's and more similar to Brad Thor's style。 But, Mills does a good job building tension in the story to addict the reader within the first third of the book。 The more you get into the book the harder it is to put the book down。I really enjoyed this book, it had a really topical st I was instantly addicted to Vince Flynn's character and his writing style from his first novel。 This is the second book with Kyle Mills taking over the character of Mitch Rapp。 Mills' writing style is different from Flynn's and more similar to Brad Thor's style。 But, Mills does a good job building tension in the story to addict the reader within the first third of the book。 The more you get into the book the harder it is to put the book down。I really enjoyed this book, it had a really topical story line involving ISIS, which was overrunning the Middle East at the time when this book was published。 It is interesting how fast things are changing in the World with ISIS having a far smaller footprint today while still being a threat。 Who knows what will happen tomorrow。This was a great action thriller that took some predictable turns, but also took some unpredictable turns which was great。 When these books become too often predictable, they become too dull。 This certainly was not dull and setup a great and unpredictable ending。 。。。more

Always ready to ride alongside Mitch Rapp & his team to fight against threats against the free world。Kyle Mills weaves in current geopolitical events into this plot involving Russia & ISIS and Saudi Arabia 。It’s a fun ride and a quick turn lager。

The book had an uneven feel to me。 Extremely violent more than typical for a Rapp novel。 Character development didn’t seem right for Mitch and the usual cast of characters following the retrieval of a nuclear weapon from Pakistan。

An Easily Enjoyable RappSimilar in tone to Vince Flynn's fingerprints。 Perhaps the legend continues faithful to its genesis as the author grows into Rapp's original alter ego。 An Easily Enjoyable RappSimilar in tone to Vince Flynn's fingerprints。 Perhaps the legend continues faithful to its genesis as the author grows into Rapp's original alter ego。 。。。more
